Starting in summer 2024, Architecture For All will offer a creative workshop to schools on applying the principles of design to our built environment.
The workshop will explore:
- how to design cities, towns and parks as professional architects/ urban planners.
- the impact of using different materials, technologies and processes in the ‘public realm.’
- historic examples of urban design – as a blueprint for living in cities, towns and suburbs
- how to respond to public needs, wants and aspirations for their environment.
- how to create a design brief, make and test prototypes
Workshop timings are flexible – from a week long activity to one off lesson. Content will align with the National Curriculum Design and Technology Key Stages 3 and 4. For more information and to book contact: office@architectureforall.org.uk
